Breaking: Jonathan Appoints New Political Adviser, Senior Special Assistant

President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed Professor Rufa’i Alkali as his new Special Adviser on Political Affairs.
Prof. Alkali replaces Dr Ahmed Gulak who was fired over a month ago (April 29th) by the president.
Professor Alkali, a Political Scientist, once served as National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and was appointed Pro-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna last year. He hails from Gombe State.
The President has also appointed Hajia Baraka Sani as his Senior Special Assistant for Schools’ Agriculture Programme. Hajia Sani was until recently, the Kano State Commissioner for Agriculture.
A statement issued by the Presidential Spokesman, Dr Rueben Abati says both appointments are with immediate effect.
