Impeachment update: At Last, Adamawa Governor, Murtala Nyako Impeached

The Adamawa state Governor, Alhaji Murtala Nyako has been impeached by the state house Assembly.
The governor was impeached after the legislative house shortly ago, deliberated and consented on the contents of the investigative panel report on the Allegations of financial recklessness against him and his deputy, Bala
His deputy Bala Ngilari however tendered his resignation to avoid impeachment.
African Examiner correspondent in Yola, the state capital reported that Nyako’s deputy, Ngilari’s purported letter of resignation was read ahead of commencement of the day’s plenary session by the former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Umaru Fintiri, while security was beefed up in and around the assembly complex.
When the impeachment motion was brought up, 18 of 24 state legislators voted in favour of the Governor’s removal.
The latest development by constitution has automatically upgraded the former Speaker Finttri, to take charge of affairs of the state.
