Buhari Presents 2016 Budget To NASS Next Tuesday

Nigerian Leader, President Muhammadu Buhari has formally written the Senate on his plan to present the 2016 appropriation Bill Tuesday, December 22, 2016.

National Assembly Chairman and Senate President, Bukola Saraki Wednesday, read President Buhari’s letter to members of the upper legislative chamber.

Earlier, Mr. President in a letter dated, December 8, 2015, proposing in the budget the sum of N500 billion for the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) for social investments, was sent to the Senate.

The President’s letter explained that the proposed MTEF money, was meant for the social welfare programmes, including the school feeding initiatives, conditional cash transfer to the most vulnerable and post National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) grants.‎‎
