Delegates at the ongoing national conference have denied reports in the media that the conference has approved the extension of tenure of President Goodluck Jonathan by two years.
The Chairman of conference Retired Justice Idris Kutigi made this known at the plenary session on Wednesday.
Kutigi said the conference has not approved tenure extension for President Goodluck Jonathan and any other elected political office holders.
According to him, “we have not approved any tenure extension for President Goodluck Jonathan or any other elected political office holder. We did not receive proposal or discuss any 18 months tenure extension for anybody.”
Meanwhile, delegates will begin deliberation on report of 20 standing committees on Thursday during plenary session.
African Examiner gathered that all the 20 standing committees on different national issues had submitted their reports as at Wednesday.
