Court Grants Metuh’s Bail Variation Application

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted application of bail variation filed by the National Publicity Secretary of the opposition PDP, Olisa Metuh.

Metuh is currently standing trial over alleged collection of N400 Million, out of $2.1 Billion arms procurement money from the former NSA, Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd), via his private firm, Dextra Investment Ltd for the contract yet to be established for former President Goodluck Jontahan.

While ruling on his application, Justice Okon Abang, held that the sureties could own assets outside Abuja. The initial bail condition restricted sureties’ ownership of properties worth N200 Million each, to Abuja.

The bail bond initially granted the accused remains N400 Million.
