Delta Speaker, Victor Ochei resigns

There are strong indications that the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Victor Ochei, has resigned as Speaker of the House.
Ochei, who represents Aniocha North Constituency in the state Assembly, is one of the front-runners in the 2015 governorship race in the state.
Sensing that the impeachment move against him was real, the speaker resigned to avoid being impeached and to enable him to concentrate on his governorship ambition.
Our correspondent gathered than no fewer that 19 out of 29 member-house signed his impeachment notice.
