Reports reaching African Examiner indicate that accredited electorates are casting their votes without intimidation, except in few cases (a ward in Ijain Ekiti) where security were alleged to have told some voters where to thump print.

Similarly, the driver of a ruling party member and ousted governor of the state, Engineer Segun Oni has been arrested by the security for allegedly distributing money to the voters in Ifaki Ekiti local council.
