Enugu CP Vows To Ensure Strict Compliance Of IGP’s Order


(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Enugu State  Commissioner of Police, (CP) Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu, has directed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and Commanders of Tactical/Operational Units of the Command to ensure strict compliance and enforcement of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Baba Alkali Usman, order, suspending issuance of SPY number plates and tinted permit.

Also to be enforced are, roadblock and the arrest of motorists who cover their number plates.

The Commissioner, while charging the Commanders to ensure the order is professionally enforced to the letter, has also cautioned motorists in the State to desist from driving unregistered vehicles, covering or using unauthorized government number plates as well as replacing their number plates with vehicles’ logos, illegal use of siren and unpermitted tinted glasses prior to the suspension.



Spokesman of the Command, Daniel Ndukwe who disclosed this to African Examiner on Tuesday in Enugu via a statement, said the Commissioner “made it clear that anyone found wanting will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.

The Commissioner “further enjoins residents of the State to remain law-abiding, vigilant and promptly report suspected criminals and their activities to the Police.
