Enugu HELIU Health Tourism Projects To Gulp $130 Million, Says Chief Aniagolu

….Receives Royal Blessing

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Management of a private firm, Finance Investment and Trade (FIT) Consultant Limited, currently executing a health Tourism district, and residences project in Enugu state, in partnership with the State Government, has said it will gulp a whopping 130 million US dollars.

It said the organization is ever ready to partner with governments at all levels to tackle the huge housing deficit confronting Nigeria whenever she is called upon  

African Examiner reports that the said multi million-naira Enugu housing estate known as (HELIU) Residences which will serve as the first Health Tourism District in the state, will house a total 250 Multi Specialty Turkish Hospital, Hilton Hotel, Innovation, technology hub, Arts/Event Centre, Recreational club, model primary school, Parks, amongst others.

Speaking to newsmen yesterday shortly after the principal officers of Enugu State Traditional rulers Council led by its Chairman, Ambassador Lawrence Agubuzo, inspected the ongoing project, located  along the Enugu-Port Harcourt  Express road, Chief Executive officer (CEO) of Fit Consult, Chief Loretta Aniogolu, said the primary goal of the project is to build a health tourism district in  South East Nigeria.

According to her, “which is a location where you have specialized hospital where people can come from all over Nigeria to access medical treatment for all kind of illness like plastic surgeries, transplant which people travel out of the country for.

“But we supported it with residences with the idea that a hospital should be located within a community and not outside the community. You don’t isolate the hospital; a hospital should serve people that live within the community, so these residences are being built as a prelude to that.

The Fit Consult boss added that “the residence will serve middle class people that can deposit deficit for housing, and we will support the residency with the Hilton hotel, hospital and so forth.

“We work where the government invite us to work, and we have built housing estates in Northern region and South West region. 

“This is the first project we are embarking on in South East, so it depends on where the invitation comes from because the government has to bring the land while we do the funding and construction

The CEO equally hinted that FIT has engaged over 500 youth and women in the course of the project in the state.

Clarifying the recent alleged ejection of some residents of the estate, she said “the normal process of owning properties is that you pay for the property and when fully paid, you move into the property, you don’t pay 10% and move into the property, that’s not how it’s done so these people illegally moved in without paying for the property

“To get allocation to a property, you have to pay 25%, then you are given time to pay the balance,” she said.

In his comment after the project inspection, Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council Chairman, Igwe Agubuzo, had expressed satisfaction on what Fit Consult is doing, saying when completed, the project will place the state on the global map.

He, however, described the project as “gigantic”, adding that it will definitely going to attract investors to Enugu state.

The Retired Diplomat turned Monarch, said: “we are satisfied with the project, this project should give joy to every indigenes of Enugu state because it will place our state on the map of the world.

He applauded Chief Aniagolu, for the wonderful initiative, stressing that what matters in life is capability and not whether you are a man or woman.

The monarchs, had during the visit gave royal blessings to Chief Aniagolu, and her management team, as well as pray for the progress of the company.
