Former LP Chairman, Olaiya Oni Dies

A Former Minister of Education and Founding Chairman of the Labour Party (LP) Dr. Olaiya Oni is dead. The late politician died Sunday in a hospital, in Owo, Ondo State, South West Nigeria, at the age of 74.
Oni’s health degenerated about three days ago and he was rushed from his Ise-Akoko home to an undisclosed hospital in Owo, where he later breath his last.
The Late politician was a former Secretary to Ondo State Government (SSG) in the Old Ondo state.
Family sources indicated that Oni, who is also a former Head of Service (HOS) has been having running battle with his health since 2012. This informed his relocation from Akure to his home town, Ise-Akoko in Akoko North East local government area of the state
