Governor Oshiomhole Sacks Aide “With Immediate Effect”

FROM IGNATIUS OKPARA, Benin City – Edo state Governor,Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has fired his Executive Director, Community Development, Hon. Faustines Ovienrioba with immediate effect.

The sack was contained in a press statement issued on Tuesday in Benin city, by the governor’s Special Adviser on media and public Affairs, Kassim Afegbua.

The statement reads: “Hon Ovienrioba is hereby directed to hand over all government properties in his possession to the office of the Secretary to the State Government within 24 hours”.

Although, no official reason was given for the sack, but African Examiner reliably gathered that the ex- governor’s aide was shown the exit door due to poor performance, which his principal, was said to have been complaining about for quite some time.
