Hoodlums Attack Immigration Office, Police Headquarters In Abia

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Barely few hours after the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Abia State police Command was razed down by yet to be identified hoodlums, the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) head office manager in the state has really been attacked by unknown gunmen who set ablaze some operational patrol vehicles in the premises.

Facilities at the office located in the Ubakala axis of Enugu/Port Harcourt Expressway was reportedly destroyed by the attackers.

A resident of the area who craved anonymity for fear of the unknown said there was a huge shooting in the area between the attackers and security operatives.

According to him, “there was panic in the area as fear had gripped residents of the axis when the incident happened Saturday night.

Also reacting to the development, another resident who spoke to newsmen, but pleaded that his name should not be mentioned in the print confirmed heavy shooting

The Abia state police Command has not made any comment on the development, as at the time of filing this report.
