It’s Another APC Affair, Nigerians React To EFCC Arrest Of Okorocha

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The arrest of former governor of Imo state by the Economic Financial and Crimes Commission, (EFCC) has sparked social media reactions as some Nigerians took to their social media accounts saying that the arrest of the senator representing Imo West Senatorial district by the EFCC is an APC affair and nothing new will come out from it.

African Examiner had earlier reported the arrest of the former Imo State governor by the EFCC and also it will be recalled that Rochas Okorocha and the present governor, Hope Uzodinma, had been in the news over some properties Okorocha purchased with the resources of the state.

According to news reports, Governor Hope Uzodinma had seized a property belonging to Rochas Okorocha which led to Okorocha being arrested after he was reported to  unseal a place already sealed by the government.

The origin of the feud between the two leaders could be traced to the 2019 governorship election in Imo where Okorocha supported his in-law, Ugwumba in the APC primaries and ignored Uzodinma.

The latest development concerning the arrest of the senator has got some persons talking on Twitter saying that it is another wild goose chase.  African Examiner gathers some of their thoughts below:

NEFERTITI@firstladyship writes: “EFCC arresting Rochas Okorocha over money laundering is no News. Did EFCC suddenly realize that today? It seems Magu took the showmanship with him? I am uninterested in the feud (clash of ego) between Rochas & Hope Uzodinma. The arrest is just a corrupt APC family affair.

theonly1acre@theonly1acre writes: “Senator Rochas Okorocha arrested and currently being investigated for Money Laundering by the EFCC.” Give this movie a title please.”

@chibliss19@firstladyship writes:  “Personally  i feel the reason is because of his recent alliance with PDP.”

Papi Slim@PapiSlim5 wrote: “E no concern me oh, as long as their feud favour me if he stole my state money he should serve maximum sentence. Ole’s.”

Side Chick@titaniumshewolf writes: “Abi na dem dem.”

Orimili@Orimili7 writes: “Next pls……it’s just exhausting.”
