Jonathan Commiserates With Kogi’s Governor On Father’s Demise


President Goodluck Jonathan on behalf of the Federal Government has commiserated with Kogi State the Governor, Captain Idris Wada, government and people of Kogi State on the passing away of Wada’s father, Pa Wada Ejiga who passed on at the age of 100 years.

President Jonathan described the late centenarian as a worthy son of Kogi who contributed in no small measure to the educational development of Igalaland in particular and the confluence state in general.

The President in a release issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati enjoined the bereaved family and the people of Kogi State to take solace in the knowledge that late Pa Ejiga lived a very happy and fulfilled life as a community leader and a devoted father.

The statement indicated that as a family man, the elder Wada succeeded in nurturing his children among whom is the state’s Governor, Idris Wada, to prominent positions that had given them the opportunity to “make lasting impact in the society”.

President Jonathan prayed God to comfort the bereaved family members, their friends and well-wishers and grant the departed soul a peaceful rest.
