Kwankwaso Endorses Deputy As Governorship Candidate

Kano state Governor and All Progressive Congress presidential Aspirant, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has endorsed his Deputy, Dr.Umar Ganduje as APC governorship candidate for February 2015 governorship election.

Kwankwaso made the disclosure on Friday while addressing newsmen in Kano after stakeholders meeting of the party that lasted for seven hours.

The governor said he endorsed the septuagenarian to ensure continuity and promote unity in the party.

AFRICAN EXAMINER correspondent learnt that the party stakeholders also endorsed senatorial candidates to be ratified during party’s primaries.

The former Deputy Governor during the administration of Ibrahim Shekarau, Tijjani Muhammad Gwarzo, Brigadier Lawan Jafar Isa and Kabiru Gaya would run for senate under APC in Kano north, Kano Central and Kano South senatorial district respectively.
