The kingmakers in Kano on Saturday night submitted names of three candidates to Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso to pick the new emir of Kano.
African Examiner gathered that the four Kano kingmakers under the chairmanship of Madakin Kano, Alhaji Yusuf Nabahani Ibrahim selected the three potential emir after their meeting on Friday night.
Ex-CBN governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is one of the leading candidates to fill the vacuum created by the death of Alhaji Ado Bayero.
Kano State Governor however hinted that the new Emir of Kano will emerge on Sunday.
The four kingmakers in the Kano emirate include; the Madakin Kano Alhaji Yusuf Nabahali, the Sarkin Bai Alhaji Muktar Adnan, the Sarkin Dawaki Mai Tuta Alhaji Bello Abubakar and the Makaman Kano Alhaji Abdullahi Sarki Ibrahim.
