Speaking after the meeting which took place in Oyeigun’s residence in Abuja, the spokesman of the Lawan group, Kabiru Marafa asked Oyegun to resign as chairman of APC.

He premised his call on the fact that the chairman failed to speak up to Nigerians that he conveyed the meeting of the ICC which led to the absence of the Lawan group from the inaugural session.

He noted that the 7th Senate did not amend its rules and therefore see no reason why some members were excluded in the election of President of the Senate.
