North East Governors, Stake Holders Will Deliver Their States To PDP In 2015

The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Governors and Stakeholders in the North-Eastern region, has assured President Goodluck Jonathan that they would deliver the zone to the in the 2015 polls.

They gave the assurance on Saturday during the PDP North-East zonal rally held at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium Bauchi.

Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State declared that the zone is PDP and it will remain under the control of PDP.

He lauded the President for initiating and completing several development projects in the zone, and assured him of their support.

He appealed to President Good Luck Jonathan to construct Kafin Zaki Dam, which he said when completed will provide Jobs to over two million youths, and will provide food security and establishment of many factories and industries.

Also speaking, Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of Gombe State, said the party had succeeded in unifying the diverse people of the country and thanked the President for his effort to address the problems of the zone.

Dankwambo urged the people to embrace peace, saying it is the only tool for the socio economic development of the region.

The Acting Governor of Taraba State Alhaji Garba Umar assured President Good Luck Jonathan that the party will win 100% votes in 2015.

While assuring the President that the state would support him at all times, Governor Umar urged him to assist the zone with more projects.

Chairman of PDP Governors Forum, Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom said the high turnout at the rally was an indication of the support the party enjoys in the zone.

He said the rally was organized to sensitize the people on the various achievements made by the party since its inception and commended the Governors in the region for execution projects that has direct bearing to the lives of their people.

However, Senator Abdul Ningi, who spoke on behalf of PDP Senators from the zone, told President Jonathan that the region is the most backward economically and appeal to the Federal Government to address the socio economic and security challenges bedeviling the region.

Speaking on behalf of the Ministers from the region, FCT Minister Senator Bala Mohammed, assured the President that they will work with their governors and other stake holders to ensure the success of the party.
