By Adeseye Adebiyi – Veteran actor and Film producer, Kunle Afolayan Monday led a host of some other renowned names in the Nollywood in a protest against piracy.

The protesters marched from Ikeja under bridge via Awolowo way down to the Governor’s office in Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja.

The peaceful walk and protest against piracy, involved entertainment personalities such as Yemi Shodimu, Taiwo Bankole, Tunde Kelani among others.

Last week, Afolayan took to his twitter account where he lamented about his yet to be released Film ”October 1” when he saw some pirated copies of it on the streets of Lagos and authoritatively passed the blame on the Igbo people.

The prolific film maker was attacked with words by some mates in the Nollywood scene, concerning the bitter words he spat against the Ibos as a tribe, blaming them for piracy as they are the one who dominated the popular Ojo/Alaba international market, regarded as the home of piracy in the country.
