Panic As Gunmen Abduct Nasarawa Lawmaker In Kaduna

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – A member representing Nasarawa central, Ismail Danbaba, in the state house of assembly, has been abducted by suspected gunmen.

According to news reports, Danbaba was kidnapped on Saturday evening along Akwanga/Jos road close to the forest in Sanga LGA of Kaduna state.

Dangba was said to have been on his way to Jos, Plateau state for a legislative workshop fixed for Sunday when he was abducted.

Muhammed Omadefu, chairman of the house of assembly committee on information, announced the abduction of the lawmaker.

He stated that the kidnappers have already established contact with some of the victim’s relatives, but they were yet to make any demand.
