Police Kill Female Notorious Bank Armed Robber In Ebonyi

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Police Operatives in Ebonyi state, South- East Nigeria, have killed a notorious female armed robber, who specialises in bank robbery alongside two others, just as five suspects have been apprehended by the security men.

The deadly female criminal element and her partners in crime were gunned down during a gun battle between the hoodlums and the police.

The robbers were said to be those who attacked a new generation bank in Ebonyi on Tuesday.

African Examiner reports that the attack was foiled by the gallant policemen attached to the financial institution.

This was made known by a statement made available to newsmen by Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Frank Mba, on Sunday.

According to him, the development followed investigations into the foiled bank robbery on the Onueke branch of a commercial bank in Ebonyi State which occurred on Tuesday, 27th April, 2021.

“Police operatives led by the Commissioner of Police, Ebonyi State Command, on 29th April, 2021, stormed the criminal hideout of suspects indicted in the investigations located at Oriuzo village in Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

Mba said, the suspects, on sighting the Police squad, opened fire, but were overpowered by the Operatives.
