Public Announcement: First Bank Says South East Branches Fully Open For Business

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – First Bank of Nigeria has urged Nigerians to disregard the news making the rounds that its South East branches are closed.
The rebuttal was contained in a statement sent to African Examiner and signed by Folake Ani-Mumuney, Group Head, Marketing & Corporate Communications of the bank.
The statement simply reads:
“Public Announcement
“This is to inform the public that our South East branches are fully open for business. Please disregard any news making the rounds that is contrary to this.
“Thank you.”
Some reports on social media have claimed that the bank has closed its southeast branches over the lingering security crisis in the zone.
