After a storming session in Abuja on Wednesday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee was unable to decide on whether to grant waivers to Nuhu Ribadu and other newly defected members to participate in its Adamawa governorship primaries.

African examiner’s correspondent gathered members of party’s NWC were sharply ddivided on whether the waiver’s issues.

Our correspondent learnt that key NWC members were rooting for three different candidates; Nuhu Ribadu, Mohammed Modibbo and acting governor, Alhaji Ahmadu Funtiri.

Reliable source confirmed to African examiner that some influential PDP members were working against the ambition of former EFCC boss noting that giving him Adamawa State governorship ticket would cause disaffection among PDP members ahead 2015 general elections.

The National Working Committee would meet on Thursday (today) to decide waiver for Nuhu Ribadu,  Buba Marwa and to contest Adamawa governorship primary election scheduled for September 6, 2014.
