Sacked Ex-Governor Nyako to Face Treason, Corruption Charges

The last of the misfortune that just befell former Adamawa state Governor, Muritala Nyako may far from being over as he may be charged for corruption and sedition.
African Examiner investigations revealed that charges against the former Governor were already available with the Federal Ministry of Justice, while any moment from now, may be prosecuted on directives from Minister of Justice
It may be recalled that former Governor Nyako while in office was accused of writing inciting letter against President Goodluck Jonathan amidst the raging security lapses in the North Eastern part of the country, in which Adamawa belongs. The treason charges African Examiner learnt was to focus on this allegation.
In the meantime, the Attorney General of the Federation, Muhammed Adoke has directed the charges files be compiled, preparatory to proper prosecution.
While these charges are pursued in one court, the anti-graft body – Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) our source revealed would simultaneously charge the former Governor for allegations of financial gross misconduct in a separate court.
