Sanwo-Olu Wins Lagos Governorship Poll

LAGOS, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has been declared the winner of the Saturday Governorship election.

INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede, while declaring the final result in the Commission’s Yaba office, announced that Mr.Sanwo-Olu scored total of 739,445 votes as against his closest rival, Mr. Jimi Agbaje of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 206,141 votes.

The result indicated that the winner swept the 20 Local Government areas of the state.
