Senate Confirms 11 Ministerial Nominees

The Senate on Tuesday at its resumed plenary seating confirmed the eleven ministerial nominees as ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Those confirmed includes Former National Security Adviser, General Aliyu Gusau, former Nigeria Ambassador to Ghana, Musiliu Obanikoro and former Nigeria Ambassador to China, Aminu Wali.
Others are Boni Haruna, former Governor of Adamawa state, T. W Dangogo , Abduljelili Adesiyan, Asabe Ahmed, Hon. Mohammed Wakil, Akon Etim Eyakenyi and Lawrencia Labaran Mallam.
The screening of Kano state nominee, Hadjia Jamilla Salik was steppped down by the senate for undisclosed reasons.
Senate President David Mark charged the new ministers to add value to the transformation agenda of the federal government, adding that their appointment as ministers would be worthless if they fail to live up to expectation.
