Supreme Court Upholds Delta, Ogun, Oyo, Yobe Polls

The Nigeria Supreme Court has upheld the victories of the Delta; Ogun; Oyo and Yobe State Governors – Patrick Okowa; Senator Ibikunle Amosun; Senator Abiola Ajimobi and Ibrahim Gaidam respectively.

The judgment which affirmed the rulings of the lower courts – the respective States Election Petition Tribunals as well as Court of Appeals was delivered Tuesday.

Just as the seven-man panel of the court announced last week Wednesday on the appeal filed before it by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, the apex court said the reasons for its rulings on the appeals against the four Governors would be made public, Monday, February 15, 2016.

The Governorship Elections held Saturday, April 11, 2015 in the four States among others.
