Tension Mounts in Enugu Over Murder Of Magistrate

Tension has mounted in the entire Enugu city, following the murder Tuesday, of a serving Chief Magistrate, O J Nwani.
African Examiner gathered that the jurist was killed by unknown suspected assassins.
Our Correspondent further learnt in Enugu that the Magistrate, who served in Enugu South Area of the state, Magisterial division until his death, was reportedly invited by his assailants and immediately after coming out, was shot severally at head and on chest.
He was however, rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
Meanwhile, the Enugu State Police Command has confirmed the unfortunate incident, saying it has commenced full investigations on it.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), Ebere Amaraizu said the Command had not made any arrest yet, but efforts were on to track down the killers.
“Our operatives are on the trail of the murderers”, Amaraizu indicated.
