Unizik Student Commits Suicide Over Poor Result

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – A second year student of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, (UNIZIK ) Awka, Anambra State, South- East Nigeria, David Ogbonna has reportedly committed suicide after seeing his last semester result.
African Examiner gathered that the deceased, hanged himself in the schools hostel wardrobe on Friday.
A Source closed to the hostel who confirmed the sad incident to newsmen on Saturday said no one had been allowed to get into the room where it occurred.
He said that the roommates of the deceased were being interrogated for further investigation.
The State police Command and School management are yet to make official statements on the incident.
Meanwhile, one of the deceased’s close friends stated that the family had issued an official statement that they would like to mourn Dave in peace.
