(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Imo state police command has discarded a report trending on social media that Imo State House of Assembly is on Fire, describing it as a “fake new.”

A video shared on social media Sunday evening which went viral had suggested that the House of Assembly complex was going up in flames.

But further investigation revealed that the said video in circulation happened in Ghana and not Nigeria.

When contacted via phone to confirm if the viral video was true, Imo state police public Relations officer, Ikeokwu simply said the report is “fake news please.
