BREAKING: After Troubled Season, Chelsea Sacks MourinhoFeatured, Latest News, Sports Thursday, December 17th, 2015
After a challenging season, Chelsea has sacked its club Manager, Jose Mourinho.
After seven months he had led the team to the Premier League title, the 52-year-old Portuguese had not been getting the expected result for his former club.
Chelsea finished eight points clear last season and won the League Cup, but had lost nine of their 16 league games so far and are 16th on the table, one point above the relegation places.
Mourinho’s, the “Special one” as he is otherwise called, final match was Monday’s 2-1 defeat against leaders, Leicester City.
Chelsea Football Club and Jose Mourinho have Thursday parted company by mutual consent.
Pep Guardiola, Guus Hiddink, Brendan Rodgers and Juande Ramos have been tipped as the possible Mourinho’s successors.
