Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa state said Thursday that the Federal Government has frozen bank accounts managed by the State government just as the impeachment notice was handed over to the governor
The governor, disclosed this in Yola through his Director of Press and public affairs Ahmad Sajoh who said the development was unspeakable, adding that President Goodluck Jonathan was looking for any opportunity to deal with Nyako
Sajoh lamented that the development would affect workers salaries especially during Ramadan period (fasting).
“The freezing of government bank accounts directed by the federal government is just another step in the series of harassment and victimization of not only political opponents but the people of Adamawa State. We are approaching the Ramadan fasting period and definitely the federal action will affect salaries of workers and other social services”, he stated.
