19 Suspected Boko Haram Terrorists Killed In Borno – Defence

The Nigerian Military Tuesday said “elements” of 22 Brigade Garrison have killed 19 suspected Boko Haram terrorists among whom was one Ameer of Dalore.

Defence Headquarters (DHQ) in a statement indicated that the incident occurred during a clearing operation at Dalore camp on Sunday, in which the troops also captured items such as: 2 AK-47 Rifles, 1 Small Machine Gun and 1 Hand Grenade and recovered 4 pickup vehicles.

Similarly, DHQ confirmed that the troops rescued 67 hostages from the terrorists, while the freed victims were currently undergoing screening at the Internally Displaced Persons in Dikwa.

“Unfortunately, during the operation the troops Mine Resistant Anti-Personnel (MRAP) vehicle ran into an Improvised Explosive Device and had a damaged tyre” added the statement.
