El-Rufai Imposes 24 Hours Curfew on Kajuru Over Fresh Killings

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Kaduna State Government has reportedly imposed a dusk to dawn curfew on Kajuru Local Government Area.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai Spokesman Samuel Aruwan disclosed this Friday in a Facebook post.
The State Government’s action according to Aruwan followed renewed attacks in Kasuwan Magani parts of the LGA.
“Following events in Kasuwan Magani, the dusk to dawn curfew that has been in place in Kajuru LGA had been extended to 24-hours in the entire local government area. The 24-hour curfew in the entire Kajuru LGA is with immediate effect, and will be enforced until further notice,” the post read.
Kajuru LGA has witnessed repeated carnage before the last general elections and after it. The affected areas are parts of the Southern Kaduna.
The crises in that part of North western State are majorly ethnic and religious in nature.
