Abia Police Command Parades Suspected Dare Devil Robbers, Cultists

The Abia state Police Command on Wednesday paraded some of the notorious armed robbery suspects that have been terrorizing Ikwuano area of the state and environs.

The robbers were paraded by The state Commissioner of Police CP, Adamu Ibrahim.

According to the CP, the suspects were apprehended by the Police during one of their operations.

He listed some of the items recovered from the hoodlums included, locally made guns, life cartridges, two masks, charms and wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.

Similarly, the police also paraded another set of criminals, whose names were given as Friday Henshaw and Uduak Effiong, allegedly arrested with some locally made guns at Umuocha village in Obingwa council of the state.

The commissioner, said the suspects would soon be charged to court for illegal possession of fire arms after detailed investigations were concluded.

Also paraded were some, suspected cultists, believed to be students of Abia State Polytechnic who were allegedly arrested at a hotel located at Ama- Ogbonna area of Aba.

The Police, said they were apprehended on October 11, with dangerous weapons and a bag of weeds suspected to be cannabis.

One of the suspects, according to the security operatives, identified as Ejike Okafor, a final year Higher National Diploma (HND) Accountancy, of Abia state Polytechnic. He was nabbed with a bullet injury which he claimed he sustained at Onitsha three years ago.
