Soyinka Visits Villa; Meets With Buhari Behind Closed Doors

ABUJA, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Noble Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka Thursday joined the league of prominent Nigerians paying visit to President Muhammadu Buhari and meeting with him behind closed doors.

The Literary icon had about an hour meeting with President Buhari in his office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

However, like some of the dignitaries who has been meeting in similar manner with Mr. President, Soyinka refused to speak with the State House Correspondents who has been waiting for him since he went into the meeting.

All efforts to prompt him speak on his mission and the focus of his meeting with President Buhari proved abortive.

Professor Soyinka declined comments, still hinted that he would soon hold a press conference and will oblige answers to all questions put to him then.
