From Ganiyu Nasirudeen

Barely a week after the confirmation of the country’s sixth Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) casualty in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital, another 19 year old teen, suspected to be infected with Ebola has been quarantined in a special centre in Kaduna state, North Western Nigeria.

Sources at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria, where the victim was isolated confirmed to African Examiner that he was quarantined for showing some symptoms of the deadly virus.

The latest country’s casualty is Dr Ike Enemuo, who reportedly treated ECOWAS envoy who had contact with the index case, late Patrick Sawyer. He died in Port Harcourt on August 22, but death confirmed by Health Minister Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu last week.
