Troops Charged To Remain Focus On The War Against Terrorists


The Nigerian troops have been encouraged to stay focus as they strive to finally end insurgency in the North Eastern part of the country.

Chief of Army Staff, Brig. Gen Tukur Buratai made the charge Monday, during his visit to some units, including 113 Task Battalion in Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State.

Buratai who applauded the troops on their breakthrough declared that the soldiers have done well, therefore must sustain the ongoing drive.

The Army Chief charged the troops to always strive to be on the offensive and should not leave anything to chances in the war against terrorists. He equally confirmed that the salaries and allowances of the soldiers were being worked out, stressing there was no cause for them to be worried, despite slight delay before the payment.

Similarly, in his visit to the 118 Task Force Battalion, Gen Buratai urged the troops to sustain their offensives to flush out Boko Haram insurgents. Buratai in addition, visited site of the newly formed 23 Task Force Brigade located in Jakana. He also joined the troops of 29 Task Force Brigade for night operation on Jakana axis.
