Buhari, Abubakar, CAN President, Sultan, Others In Closed Door Meeting

By Ganiyu Nasirudeen – Former Military Head of State and a member of the National Peace Committee for the 2015 general elections, Gen. Abdusalami Abubakar (retd.), is leading other committee members in a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at Presidential Villa, FCT Abuja.

Also in the meeting which the subject is yet to be made public, are the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’Ad Abubakar III; President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor; Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Revd. Nicholas Okoh; Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan; one time President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mrs. Priscilla Kuye and former SA to the immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan on Inter-Party Affairs, Senator Ben Obi and others.

The Tuesday meeting followed the previous earlier closed door Jonathan had with his successor, President Buhari last Thursday as well as another one former President Olusegun Obasanjo with Mr. President a day after – last Friday.
