Allow All Nigerians Carry AK-47, Fani-Kayode Tackles Defence Minister

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has responded to the statement made by the Minister of Defence, Bashir Magashi, urging Nigerians to defend themselves against bandits

The African Examiner recalls that Magashi, in the wake of the abduction of 27 students in Kagara, Magashi has enjoined Nigerians to have the courage and defend themselves.

Reacting, Fani-Kayode took to his Twitter account on Thursday describing the Minister as a failure.

According to the former minister, Nigerians won’t run away from bandits who are armed with weapons.

He wrote: “The Defence Minister says Nigerians are cowards, that they always run when attacked by terrorists and that they should defend and protect themselves.

“Does he know that it is his job to protect the people, and he failed?

“Equip every Nigerian with an AK 47 and see if they will still run.”
